● Seoul Semiconductor`s Acriche Receives CE Marking and German TUV certification

Acriche is the world’s first
LED package to receive the CE Marking, conforming to
stringent global standards for product safety.
|
|

In August 2008, the European Union
will be implementing the Energy-using Products (EuP)
Directive which will require specific electrical and
electronic devices to attain the CE-Marking certification
before they can be permitted to trade in the EU.

|

Nichia Corporation engaged in
unfair trade practices through the importation and sales
of Gallium Nitride (GaN) based laser diode products
that infringe Seoul Semiconductor`s U.S. Patent No.
5,321,713.

Seoul Semiconductor anticipates
that the ITC`s investigation of Nichia Corporation will
commence in January 2008 and be tried in the fall of
2008.
