[ESG] 🚶 Taking the Stairs Today? Seoul Semiconductor and Seoul Viosys' Fun Approach to ESG
2025.07.24
Hello!
Seoul Semiconductor and Seoul Viosys are running an "ESG Stair Use
Campaign" to promote employee wellness and reduce carbon emissions.
🟢 What is ESG?
ESG stands for Environmental, Social, and Governance — key criteria for
evaluating a company’s sustainability and social responsibility.
💡 Simple Idea, Double the
Impact!
Our offices span from B1 to the 6th floor, a
total of 7 stories. It’s a space where many employees move throughout the day.
“Take the stairs instead of the elevator!”
It may sound simple, but this small change
delivers a surprisingly big impact.
🌱 For the environment:
• Less elevator use → Less electricity consumed
• Less electricity → Lower carbon emissions
• Small efforts add up to big environmental
impact
💪 For our people:
• Natural daily exercise improves health
• Quick and easy way to stay active at work
• Reduced elevator wait times (a surprisingly
nice perk!)
🎨 Encouraging Participation with Humor
What stood out the most were the playful messages posted on the stairs.
Rather than just saying “Use the stairs,” we made it fun — with cheerful
phrases on the elevators that encourage participation with a smile.
These small thoughtful
touches may be the secret to the campaign’s success.
🚀 The Power of Small, Meaningful ESG Actions
What’s most
inspiring about this campaign is the message: you don’t need something big to
make a difference.
While ESG might sound like something that requires major investments or complex
systems,
Seoul Semiconductor and Seoul Viosys show that creative ideas and
small steps by employees can create real ESG value.
A small shift in everyday behavior, fun participation with colleagues, and a warm-hearted concern for both the environment and employee health — this is how true ESG culture begins.
